Embryo Catalogue
Back to Sale Page
We have an exciting selection of embryos flushed out of cows who have lasted the 10 years on our hill country, sired by a variety of established and exciting new bulls!
Xcell Breeding Services offer an option to NZ clients to provide recipient cows and implantation services, only charging for those cows that scan pregnant, with the purchaser owning the recipients afterwards. Price is depending on the store cattle market in the spring. This is on top of the purchase price of the embyros.
For example, if you were to buy 5 embryos and acheive 3 pregnancies, you would pay Meadowslea for the 5 embryos, but only pay Xcell for 3 the pregnant reciepients.
Embyros Available:

Meadowslea G895
Meadowslea F801
F801 was the top-price 10-year-old cow in our 2020 Female Sale, selling to Ballanee Angus in Australia for $5,500. She has produced a number of embryos already exported to Australia and her progeny now on the ground at Ballanee look very promising. She is a nice medium-framed, deep bodied cow with a strong coat.
She has an outstanding strong NZ pedigree, being sired by the well-known Achiever A320 of Kenhardt, who bred the top-priced Angus bull at the 2012 NZ Beef Expo, and whose grandsire was the great Hingaia 469. Her dam C1047 was one of our greatest ever breeding cows and shows up in the pedigrees of many of our top cattle including Meadowslea R818, a semen sire in this sale. C1047 goes back to another great pure NZ sire Waimata Zulu 689.
F801 herself has bred 9 calves in her 9 years, including N257, sold for the top price of $22,000 in our 2019 sale to Umbrella Range Angus where he bred an outstanding line of sons in their 2022 bull sale. Her daughter, by Lazarus, R595 was the top selling R2-year heifer in our 2022 Female Sale at $5,700 to Westfield Angus. F801 has the easy doing attributes we value so strongly and she scanned with the top rib fat scan of her year group. Her efficient moderate cow size and very short days to calving ensure she generates a good self-replacing index in the top 20% for the breed.
